My little Renesmee babies

"Come, I wish to drink your blood!" It looks like they just finished drinking the blood of an elk! Just kidding :) This is the first time they have had fruits! Yay! They made it through all their vegetables and now they are starting on their fruits. We're starting them off with prunes, just in case they don't like them as much as the rest of the fruits.

My little Tay Babe does crunches

Taylor has recently started trying to sit up on her own from a laying down position. I emphasize the word "trying" because they still cannot sit up on their own yet :( I love her determination, though. It is stinking cute! It makes me laugh so hard. I got a video of her doing this. She has some strong little abs!!! I always joke about how both her and Alexis will be sporting around a six pack before they turn one. I'm not joking; I really think they will :)

"No, mom, I said I want to stand while you change me!"

I could not resist taking this picture. Ok, so our girls are obsessed with standing! While I was changing Alexis out of her dirty outfit, she stiffened her legs and stood straight up. This is what she looked like :) She totally reminds me of something you would see in a Dr. Seuss book!

Milestones :)

One of the neatest things about being a parent is watching your little one reach milestones. Tuesday, March 3rd Alexis rolled all the way over onto her stomach! Yay! I was so excited that I scared her when I flipped her over onto her back and began cheering and clapping. Taylor finally rolled all the way over onto her stomach on Sunday, March 8th. Hooray!!! And last but certainly not least, Alexis finally let out a full set of giggles. I had her sitting in my lap at lunch today. Diesel loves carrots so I bit off little chunks and spit them at her. She started getting good enough that she was catching every single round in her mouth. Out of the blue, Alexis let out the cutest bunch of giggles. She thought Diesel catching the carrots in her mouth was hysterical! Woot woot! I've also included a little clip of Alexis watching t.v. She absolutely loves to watch t.v.

Kinda caught Taylor screaming!

I know that you cannot see her but at least you can hear her screams! She was just screaming away this morning, but as luck would have it, she slowed down as soon as I grabbed the camera.

Taylor loves to talk :)

Taylor loves to talk!!! Her little personality is just like Thayne's; she talks, squeals and screams at random. She is such a fiesty little girl. We have yet to get her little scream on camera, though :( Don't worry, we will! I took this clip one morning because she was soooo dang cute sitting there in her swing talking away to no one. It's the most adorable thing I have ever seen!

First time eating baby food!

The girls have really stepped it up a notch this last month and a half. They have recently decided to wake up every one to three hours during the night (and at separate times). Feeling exhausted and desparate, we consulted with our doctor to see if he had any advice to offer us. He said we could start feeding them baby food as soon as they took their rice cereal off the spoon really well. Frustrated and impatient with their lack of response to the rice cereal, I grabbed a can of baby carrot food. I began shoveling it in. You can clearly see how little Tay cared for the carrots by the mess on her face and the grumpy look! However, Alexis just could not get enough of them; she downed a whole can! Tay eventually grew to love her carrots.

Blessing of Taylor & Alexis

Thayne blessed Taylor and Alexis (in that order) February 1, 2009. We invited friends and family members to attend our 9 o'clock sacrament meeting to witness the blessing of these two wonderful babies. Taylor let out a few soft cries during her blessing. Alexis, on the other hand, screamed through her entire blessing!!! Afterwards, a luncheon was held at Val and Wendy's house for family members at 11:30. We had a wonderful time visiting, passing babies around and snapping pictures!
