HUGE update!

Halloween fun! This was us trick-or-treating at the mall.

This was that headless horseman pumpkin that I carved.

So, Thayne went to New Mexico to sell for a few days in November. While he was gone, I discovered we had a rodent infestation problem. They were coming out and running across the floor; right past me! In fact, I almost STEPPED on one as I was walking around! Freaked me out! I called Thayne's dad and he brought me some glue boards (he even strategically placed them around my house). Even while he was setting them up, mice were darting in and out of his legs and around him!!! He set up the first 3 boards and stood up to get more and...we caught one! We decided to use her at bait (you know leave her near a couple glue boards in hopes that she would lure in her babies and they would get caught too)! We left the boards overnight and here was our kill the next morning! These were the first five mice (we ended up catching 10 in the end)! Yes, the top right mouse was missing its head by morning.

Thayne blessed Jaxon November 7, 2010 at our 11 a.m. sacrament meeting. It was a beautiful blessing. I'm so glad so many of our friends and family could come. I feel blessed to be married to a worthy Preisthood holder. I am so grateful for the gospel in my life, and the many blessing we receive from our Heavenly Father. I feel blessed to be surrounded by wonderful people. My aunt Tami is such a wonderful mother figure. She is like a little mother hen. She just wants to make everyone feel loved and like they're her own children. My cousin, Braquel, is like the sister I never had. She knows me better than I know myself sometimes. She's been there through the thick and thin; always ready to serve me the bitter truth when needed. My brother, Cortney, who if I had to say one word to describe him it would be honest. He never lies. I don't even know if he's capable of it. I love how much he adores my children. I think he's most excited to come visit on Saturdays because of them. There is a joke in our family that when the twins get older, they're going to go to him for that brand new convertible! And he really will go take out a loan for those convertibles! It truly makes me smile, though; they have an uncle who loves them very much. And lastly, I'm grateful for the family I gained when I married Thayne. All of my in-laws are so helpful. I know that when I am in need of help, I can call any of them and they will do what they can to help me. Thayne's mom has been a lot of help. She's so sweet. All summer long she would come down here 3 times a week to help me with bath time! She's a good cook and cleaner. And she is patient. Hope, Holly and Valerie are such wonderful sisters. They are fun to be around! I love that they will babysit my children for me. I love having girl's nights with them. I love when they get hyper; it's hilarious to watch! Hope gets really crazy, and I love it!

This was everyone's (children) first time meeting Santa Claus :) And everyone was unsure of him!

I'm gonna start my updates with the twins. (Alexis left, Taylor right)

I love that Alexis loves Jaxon (sometimes a little too much)! She loves to hold his hand; tickle him; talk to him. I always have her for a shadow; she's so curious about how I feed him, change him, interact with him, etc. It is very cute :) I love when she gets her baby doll and puts her in the swing, car seat, stroller, bumbo and anything else she sees me stick Jaxon in. She is very tender hearted. And she is a total daddy's girl. Oh, and she still loves horses!
Her stats November 8, 2010:

  • Weight: 24.6 lbs (20 percentile)
  • Height: 33 in (23 percentile)

Recent additions to vocabulary:

  • Elephant, giraffe, gorilla (and several other animals)
  • Juice
  • Sippy
  • Jaxon (comes in any of the following forms: Jacket, Texas and my favorite...BOOBY when she's trying to say baby)
  • Baby (sometimes she really does say it clearly)
  • Taylor
  • Alexis
  • Jesus
  • Arm, leg (and several other body parts)
  • A, B, C (all letters of the alphabet)
  • 1, 2, 3 (numbers up to 10)
  • And many more!

Taylor enjoys interacting with her little brother, too. She is a little better at entertaining herself, though. She can go off and play on her own with her toys. She doesn't usually follow me around or try to play with Jaxon as much as Lexi does. She is still in love with "Horsies!" She is a sweet little girl; pretty obedient. The biggest struggle with her is food; she's a picky eater. Her favorite word (besides horse) is "Share!" She wants everyone to share everything with her :) Oh how it kills me when she takes her hair elastic out EVERY SINGLE DAY! I put her hair up so it's out of her eyes and she just rips it out! But I don't want to cut her hair because I'm trying to grow it out. Hmmm.
Taylor's stats November 8, 2010:

  • Weight: 22.6 lbs (4 percentile) poor girl has only seen the double digit percentile once
  • Height: 33 in (23 percentile)

Recent additions to vocabulary:

  • Elephant (which sounds like "Oh sh**"), giraffe, gorilla (and several other animals)
  • Juice
  • Sippy
  • Jaxon
  • Baby
  • Taylor
  • Alexis
  • Jesus
  • Arm, leg (and several other body parts)
  • A, B, C (all letters of the alphabet)
  • 1, 2, 3 (numbers up to 10)
  • And many more!

Jaxon can coo and smile. He is still a really good eater, but a poor sleeper :( I would really like to successfully move him into his own room. Tried it once. Didn't go so well. He was up every hour. I finally gave up at 5 a.m. and let him sleep the rest of the night in our bed. Why in our bed? Oh because he wouldn't even sleep in his bassinet. I would lay him down in it and he'd wake right up. I'd stick him in our bed (assuming he needed to eat for the millionth time) and he'd conk right out! He's a stinker! But he's a cute stinker :) He has rolled over once, but he hasn't done it since...
Jaxon's stats November 8, 2010:

  • Weight: 11 lbs 11 oz (50 percentile)
  • Height: 23 1/2 in (71 percentile)
  • Head circumference: 16.2 in (76 percentile)
