Next sop...HOLLYWOOD...that's where the stars are born! We took pics of the Hollywood sign.
Then we hit up Hollywood Boulevard to see the stars with names of famous people in them.
Ha ha...our next stop was...well...memorable. We were once again hungry (gee...could that have been because we hadn't eaten since Carl's Jr and it was now pretty late?)...so we stopped at a restaurant overlooking the beautiful Manhattan Pier and Pacific ocean. It's a little place we like to call Beaches. Yeah, we had the crappiest waiter. He completely ignored us. He took our orders and then he was history. He was bending over backwards waiting on all the other tables near us but somehow failed to notice us...hmm. So we asked for some complimentary bread...what does the jerk say to us? I don't want to bring you guys bread because I want you guys to be able to enjoy your meal and not get full off the bread. I'm sorry...did we slip and say something like hi, we're not adults so could you please decide what would be best for us? So he brings us our bread and then the rest of the time the buser and hostess had to wait on us...oh but don't worry he made SURE he was the one who brought us our check. So...how much did we tip him? Between the 4 of us we decided that .25 was good enough. Yup you read that right 25 cents is all that we left him...ha ha jerk!
So then we went down to the Manhattan Pier and played in the ocean while night fell. It was AMAZING! It was soooo beautiful. I will never forget it. And the water was so warm.
We went back to the hotel and slipped on our swim suits and took a dip. While we were playing we ran into another contestant family. We were very fond of them. Cute little family! We got to talking and learned that they were in an earlier filming, which of course meant that they weren't competing against us. Whew! Good thing, cuz I didn't wanna have to hate them. Ha ha...just kidding!
Then we bid them good night and went up to our rooms to enjoy our cheesecakes! Yeah baby, thats right...we most certainly did go to the Cheesecake Factory after we played in the ocean! I love that place!!! I'd say that was the perfect end to a perfect day.
Saturday we went back to the Manhattan Pier and checked out the aquarium and touched some star fish. Yuck! They feel really weird!
Then Cort and Thayne rented some body boards and played in the ocean.

Before we knew it, we were heading back to the hotel while Cort and Thayne ran to the Cheesecake Factory to grab all of us some lunch before our filming. Then we were picked up and taken to the AFV studio. They briefed us on what we were going to be doing. Then they took us to makeup. We then filmed the show which was very interesting. They don't do things in the order that you see them once the show is finished. No, they started with the middle of our show then jumped to the beginning then filmed some of the ending and kept jumping around like that. Once we were finally done with everything and the votes had been cast, they moved the contestants down onto the front row and did a touch up on our makeup. As most of you know, we took 2nd place. Then the van came and dropped us off at the hotel.
The contestants farthest to the right are the ones who took first place and then the middle family took third.
We went to Ruth's Chris and had some of their famous sizzling 1800 degree steaks! Then we walked Rodeo Drive and met up with a friend who lives in L.A. Jess told us about a place called Sprinkles (or something like that) and we grabbed cupcakes and headed back to the hotel. Thayne and I were so exhausted that we went to bed early :( Then we spent our last few hours in L.A. soaking up the syrup and pancakes at IHOP and then jumped on our planes. It was the best vacation ever!!!

Girl! It sounds like you had a ton of fun!!! I have got to find a funny video to send in!!
So cool! We missed the show, though! Did anyone record it?
We missed the show, too. Can you post the video on your blog? Or did you have to give up the copyright? Congrats on 2nd place.
